College of Tourism Sciences

As part of efforts to strengthen academic partnerships, the Dean of the College of Tourism Sciences, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Naif Mahmoud, welcomed Professor Dr. Jamal Hameed Rasheed Al-Dulaimi from Al-Salam University College to discuss mechanisms for organizing unified examinations between the two colleges. The meeting took place on Sunday, April 13, 2025.

The meeting was attended by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Manal Raafat Khalid, department coordinators, the head of the Registration Division, the Scientific Affairs Unit, and shared course instructors. The participants agreed to conduct mock examinations, which included question preparation, exam monitoring arrangements, and grading procedures.

This initiative aligns with the National Program for Scientific Cooperation launched by the Ministry of Higher Education, which aims to unify academic visions and raise academic performance.

It is worth mentioning that the two colleges signed a twinning agreement on May 14, 2022, which included curriculum unification and the implementation of joint examinations.

The meeting concluded with the Dean’s commendation of all efforts made, emphasizing that this collaboration represents a significant step toward enhancing the quality of higher education in Iraqi universities.
