College of Tourism Sciences

The Committee for Preparing the Five-Year Plan (2026–2030) at the College of Tourism Sciences held a meeting, chaired by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Manal Raafat Khalid, to discuss the key pillars of the plan aligned with the University of Mosul’s vision and strategic directions in enhancing the educational and research process.

The meeting was attended by the committee members, including the Head of the Department of Hotel Studies, the Rapporteur of the Department of Tourism Studies, the Head of the Studies and Planning Division, the Head of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division, and the Head of the Scientific Affairs Unit. During the meeting, the proposed strategic goals for the upcoming five years were reviewed, along with discussions on the programs and implementation steps that would contribute to raising the college’s academic and administrative standards.

The Dean emphasised the importance of collective effort and teamwork in developing a comprehensive and practical plan based on quality standards and responsive to the requirements of the next stage. She noted that this approach aligns with Goal 4 (Quality Education) by enhancing the college’s programs and improving its learning environment, and corresponds with Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) through the adoption of modern planning mechanisms that support the development of administrative and digital infrastructure. It also reinforces Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
