“Legal Aids” Volunteer Team Holds a Workshop on Legal Awareness at the College of Tourism Sciences

In the presence of Prof. Dr Manal Raafat Khalid, Dean of the College of Tourism Sciences, Asst. Prof. Dr Zaid Talal, Assistant Dean for scientific affairs, and the “Legal Aids” Volunteer Team, organised an awareness workshop at the College of Tourism Sciences. The workshop focused on promoting legal awareness among students and introducing them to university laws and regulations that govern student behaviour, rights, and responsibilities.
The session was led by Prof. Dr Mohammed Sadiq Mohammed, Professor of Civil Law, who delivered a comprehensive presentation on key legal issues affecting students’ academic life—such as the Student Discipline Law, bullying, and cyber extortion—while explaining the legal procedures that should be followed to curb these phenomena.
This workshop is part of the volunteer team’s contribution to community service through spreading legal awareness and strengthening legal culture among university students. It aims to reinforce the values of discipline and responsibility within the academic environment and supports Sustainable Development Goal 16, which promotes peace, justice, and strong institutions.
