The College of Tourism Sciences Holds Its Regular Council Meeting

As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance academic quality and advance institutional performance, the College of Tourism Sciences held its regular council meeting on Monday, October 22, 2025. Prof. Dr Manal Raafat Khalid, the College’s dean, chaired the meeting, which the Assistant Deans and Heads of Academic Departments attended.

The Dean opened the meeting with a welcoming speech in which she expressed her appreciation for the continuous efforts of the teaching and administrative staff, emphasising the importance of teamwork to achieve academic excellence and strengthen the college’s standing.

During the meeting, the council discussed several key agenda items, including:

  • Monitoring the performance of the teaching and administrative staff and encouraging regular attendance to promote discipline and an effective work environment.
  • Urging faculty members to engage in scientific publishing on topics related to the field of tourism.
  • Forming the Academic Promotions Committee to oversee the promotion procedures for faculty members.
  • Finalizing the graduation research topics for fourth-year students and aligning them with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This meeting reflects the College of Tourism Sciences’ commitment to improving its academic and administrative performance in line with modern standards and its dedication to continuous academic openness and fostering a stimulating environment for research and innovation.
