As part of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s efforts to enhance researchers’ skills and promote high-quality academic publishing on international scientific platforms, the College of Tourism Sciences organized a workshop titled “Activating Researchers’ Accounts on Scopus and Web of Science.” The event was held under the direct supervision of Prof. Dr. Manal Raafat Khalid, Dean of the College, and in collaboration with the Department of Scientific Affairs at the University of Mosul, on Sunday, November 9, 2025. The workshop was presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Rasha Khalid Sabri, Director of the Department of Scientific Affairs, and Engineer Hassan Basel Yousif. It included a detailed explanation of the steps required for registration and account activation on the global research platforms, along with an overview of the importance of the Scopus database and its role in enhancing research quality and increasing the visibility of researchers’ outputs both locally and internationally.

This workshop aligns with Goal 4 of the Sustainable Development Goals (Quality Education) by supporting researchers’ capacities and developing their skills in scientific publishing, thereby contributing to improving the efficiency of higher education and achieving academic and research excellence.

At the end of the workshop, the floor was opened for discussion, allowing participants to ask questions and share their inquiries.
