Dams and Water Resources Research Center Organizes a Workshop on “Applied Research and the Government Program”

On Monday, November 3, 2025, the Dams and Water Resources Research Center organized a workshop entitled:
“Applied Research and the Government Program,”
presented by Researcher Basima Abdulmunem Al-Jawadi at the Center.

The workshop addressed the importance of applied research as a vital link between abstract scientific theory and real-world practice. Unlike basic academic research, which seeks knowledge to understand natural phenomena, applied research aims to solve practical problems faced by society within the expertise of the Center’s academic staff, transforming ideas into practical achievements that meet human needs, advance communities, address societal challenges, and support informed decision-making.
