Dams Researches and Water Resources Center

In line with the principles of the Third National Plan for Women and within the framework of the Women’s Affairs Division’s initiatives, the Center for Dams and Water Resources Research organized a workshop titled:
“Domestic Violence.”
The workshop was presented by Ms. Daad Ahmed Ismail and Engineer Basma Abdul Muneim Al-Jawadi.

The session focused on the impact of domestic violence on society and explored ways to foster a healthy social environment capable of building a responsible and engaged generation that contributes positively to Iraq’s development.

The workshop witnessed active engagement and meaningful discussion from participants. Emphasis was placed on the importance of community awareness and the crucial role academic institutions play in promoting a culture that rejects violence and reinforces values of respect and solidarity within families and the broader community.

This workshop aligns with the University’s commitment to supporting women’s issues and contributing to the achievement of sustainable community development.
