Our Center organized a scientific workshop entitled: “Two-Variate Drought Frequency Analysis Based on Modified Multivariate Drought Index,” presented by Dr. Ihsan Faseeh Hassan, lecturer at the Center. The workshop addressed the severity of drought as one of the most critical natural hazards directly affecting vital sectors. The presenter reviewed mechanisms for developing a multivariate standardized drought index by integrating climatic and hydrological variables using multivariate modeling.
