اجرى وفد جامعة الموصل برئاسة الاستاذ الدكتور قصي كمال الدين الاحمدي رئيس الجامعة ، زيارة لجامعة Sussex في مدينة برايتون البريطانية ، حيث التقى الوفد بالرئيس التنفيذي للجامعة البروفيسور ريتشارد فولليت لمناقشة تأسيس شراكة أكاديمية وعلمية باتجاهات متعددة منها العمل على تطوير برامج بناء قدرات كوادر الجامعة و تبادل الخبرات الاكاديمية كما قام الوفد بزيارة مكتبة الجامعة والاطلاع على التقنيات المعتمدة في عمل المكتبة و استخدامها. كما تضمنت الزيارة لقاء مع مديرة معهد تطوير الدراسات البروفيسور ميليسا لييچ و التابع لجامعة Sussex و الاتفاق على تفعيل التعاون البحثي و التدريبي في مجال حفظ التراث الحضاري بمختلف المجالات.
يشار الى ان جامعة Sussex تأسست عام (١٩٦١) ميلادية وحاز (٣) من خريجيها على جائزة نوبل، تعد الجامعة من الجامعات المرموقة في بريطانيا و نشطة دوليا في المجال التعليمي والبحثي حيث أن أكثر من ثلث طلبتها هم من الطلبة الأجانب ، وتتشارك مع الجامعات والمؤسسات العلمية الدولية بالمئات من الاتفاقيات برامج التعاون.
كما أن معهد تطوير الدراسات يحتل المرتبة الأولى على مستوى العالم في اخر (٧) سنوات في مجال تطوير الدراسات والبحوث الاكاديمية تليه جامعة هارفارد الأمريكية.International Academic Cooperation with Sussex University and Institute of Study Development A delegation of the University of Mosul, chaired by Dr. Qusi Kamal-Din Al-Ahmedi, the University of Sussex in the British city of Brighton, where the delegation met with the University’s CEO Professor Richard Vollett to discuss the establishment of an academic and scientific partnership on multiple directions Including working on the development of the university’s capacity building programs and sharing experiences The academy also visited the library of the university and learned about the approved technologies in the work and use of the library. The visit also included a meeting with the director of the Institute of Development of Studies Professor Melissa Leich, a member of the Sussex University and the agreement to activate research and training cooperation in the field of civil heritage preservation in various fields. Sussex University has been founded a birth year (19) and has been awarded a Nobel Prize of its graduates, the university is one of the prestigious universities in Britain and an international activity in the field of education and research as more than a third of its students are foreign students, and in partnership with universities and institutions International scientific with hundreds of agreements Cooperation programs. The Institute for Studies Development also ranks first globally in the last 5 years in the field of academic research and studies development followed by Harvard American University.
