University Nursery

The inauguration of the University of Mosul Nursery, following its complete renovation and re-equipment with the support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), reflects the University’s commitment to providing high-quality services that support faculty and staff by offering a comprehensive childcare environment for their children. With a capacity of 450 children, the nursery has been equipped with the latest facilities that meet modern educational standards, thereby fostering job stability for employees and helping them maintain a healthy balance between professional and family life.
The nursery delivers a wide range of educational and recreational services for the children of faculty and staff. To accommodate larger numbers, an additional annex has been established. Its opening featured educational puppet theatre performances accompanied by songs and music, as part of the curriculum-based “Puppet Theatre” program. Through these interactive educational activities, children are trained in language communication skills and encouraged to develop their expressive abilities by both watching and participating in the performances staged within the nursery.
The nursery building and its divisions encompass fully integrated educational and recreational spaces, along with halls equipped for monitoring theatrical and educational programs. Altogether, it stands as a modern childcare facility aligned with the principles of contemporary education and a clear expression of the University’s mission to nurture its community’s children intellectually, pedagogically, and socially.
