A master’s thesis in the Department of Economics discusses the impact of some economic policy variables on the public debt of selected developing countries with reference to Iraq for the period (1990 – 2020)
The Department of Economics at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed on Wednesday 11 January 2023 the master’s thesis tagged “The impact of some economic policy variables on the public debt of selected developing countries with reference to Iraq for the period (1990-2020)
Part of it was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Thaer Ahmed Saadoun Al-Samman.The current study presented by the student “Aida Bedros Akob Musa” in the Department of Economics aimed to study and analyze the repercussions of macroeconomic policy variables, whether financial, monetary or commercial, in the size of public debt The research started from the premise that: There are effects of macroeconomic policy variables on the size of public debt, but their short-term effects outweigh their long-term effects,The discussion committee was headed by Prof. Dr. Hashim Muhammad Al-Arkoob, and the membership of Prof. Dr. Bashar Ahmed Abdul Razzaq Al-Iraqi, and Assistant Professor Dr. Ibrahim Abdullah Jassim from the University of Tikrit, under the supervision and membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Saadoun Hussein Farhan
