The Department of Economics at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed on Thursday 26 January 2023.the master’s thesis tagged “The relationship between women’s empowerment and income distribution in developing countries, with reference to Iraq”

Part of discussion was attended by the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Qusai Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, and the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Thair Ahmed Saadoon Al-Samman.The current study presented by the student “Zahraa Khalil Ali Ibrahim” aimed to investigate the reality of women’s empowerment, its economic and educational aspects, and its implications on income distribution. The importance of empowering women in income distribution is evident through its contribution to reducing gender disparity, whether in wages or at work, in addition to increasing equal access to educational opportunities and access to health and legal services, which are necessary prerequisites to approach the goal of reducing disparities in income distribution.The discussion committee was headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Iman Mustafa Rashad, and the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Naif Mahmoud from the Faculty of Tourism Sciences, and Assistant Professor Dr. Hashem Muhammad Saeed Rashid from the University of Zakho, under the supervision and membership of Prof. Dr. Mufid Thanoun Younis
