The Department of Accounting at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed the master’s thesis tagged “The impact of asset valuation in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs) on the outputs of the unified accounting system for banks and insurance companies – an applied study”The current study presented by the student “Baraa Munir Youhanna” in the Department of Accounting seeks the scientific and practical study with regard to assets in banks, and how to deal with accounting for these assets in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs) and to show and clarify all the effects and changes that occur in the financial statements of the bank under studyThe discussion committee was headed by Prof. Dr. Alaa Farid Abdel Ahad from the Southern Technical University, and the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Maher Ali Hussein Al-Shammam, and Assistant Professor Dr. Taha Ahmed Hassan Ardini, and under the supervision and membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Muhammad Jamil
