The Department of Industrial Management at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed the doctoral thesis tagged “The effect of applying selected models of continuous improvement in reducing types of supply chain risks by adopting the intermediary role of the items of the standard ISO28001:2007 A case study in the State Company for the manufacture of medicines and medical devices in Samarra.
Part of it was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Thair Ahmed Saadoon Al-Samman.

The aim of the current study … Which was submitted by the student “Bassam Munib Ali” in the Department of Industrial Management, to: Determining the impact of selected models of continuous improvement to reduce supply chain risks based on the mediating role of the items of ISO 28001:2007 and application in the State Company for the manufacture of medicines and medical appliances in Samarra, as a number of economic and health events during the previous years contributed to a negative impact on the performance of international and local industrial organizations in terms of their ability to meet market requirements and thus their ability to continue to work. By ensuring the continuity of the supply process to prepare the requirements of the production process.
The study reached a set of conclusions, perhaps the most prominent of which are: the existence of the impact of the continuous improvement models (PDCA) and (DMAIC) in reducing supply chain risks by mediating the standard (ISO 28001:2007), and concluded the greater effectiveness of these models as far as it is related to reducing supply chain risks.
