The Department of Banking and Financial Sciences at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed the master’s thesis tagged “The Role of Access to Financial Services in the Stability of the Banking Sector: An Analytical Study in a Group of Arab Countries”.
The discussion was honored by the presence of the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Qusai Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, the respected Assistant President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Thair Ahmed Saadoon Al-Samman.

The current study presented by the student “Mohammed Ahmed Ibrahim” aims to measure the impact of access to financial services on the stability of the banking sector in a group of Arab countries sample through the use of modern indicators for access to financial services, namely (access of adult customers to savings accounts for males and females, access of adult customers to the use of debit cards for males and females, access of adult customers to own debit cards for females, access of adult customers to own debit cards for males, access of adult customers to borrow from Official institutions for females.
The study reached a set of conclusions, the most important of which were: the existence of an impact of access to financial services on the stability of the banking sector in the Arab countries of the study sample, as well as there is a direct moral impact of access to financial services in the stability of the banking sector in the countries of the study sample.

The discussion committee was headed by Prof. Dr. Asaad Ghani Jihad / Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Director General of the Administrative and Financial Department, and the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Doaa Noman Al-Husseini and Assistant Professor Dr. Mayada Salah Al-Din Taj Al-Din, and under the supervision and membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Zahraa Ahmed Al-Nuaimi.
