The Department of Management Information Systems at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed the master’s thesis tagged “The impact of information technology governance on human resource management functions: a survey study in the public universities of Nineveh Governorate”.
Part of it was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Thair Ahmed Saadoon Al-Samman.
The current study presented by the student “Ibrahim Bahgat Ibrahim” aims to diagnose the impact of information technology governance on the function of human resources management in the field studied, where a hypothetical scheme of the study was presented that included the main indicators of both variables, as the indicators of information technology governance are represented by the elements represented in strategic alignment, value delivery, resource management, risk management, and finally performance measurement, as for the dimensions of the human resources management variable, they were represented by the basic functions of this department, which is human resources planning, Recruitment, training and development, compensation and performance appraisal.
A set of conclusions were reached, the most important of which are: Information technology governance has an impact on the human resources management function.
The discussion committee was headed by Prof. Dr. Ali Abdel Fattah Al-Shaher, and the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Zuhair Tawfiq, and Assistant Professor Dr. Roaa Ahmed Ibrahim from the University of Tikrit and under the supervision and membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Mustafa Hussein.
