The Department of Industrial Management at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed the master’s thesis tagged “The role of some production engineering technologies in the level of product quality / an exploratory study of the opinions of a sample of individuals working in the State Company for Textile and Leather Industries – Baghdad”.

Part of it was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Thaeir Ahmed Saadoon Al-Samman.

The current study presented by the student “Saad Samir Ali” in the Department of Industrial Management aimed to: Demonstrate the impact of some production engineering techniques on the level of product quality in the State Company for Textile and Leather Industries in Baghdad and highlight its importance through the adoption of the conceptual framework for production engineering with its techniques (value engineering ‘simultaneous engineering’ process re-engineering’ on-time production system) as an independent variable as well as product quality in its dimensions (performance of features, reliability – conformity – durability – serviceability – aesthetic – perceived quality) as a dependent variable.

The study concluded to the most important conclusions: the existence of a significant correlation between production engineering in terms of its techniques (in total) and product quality in terms of its dimensions (in total) in the company field of study ‘and this explains the company’s interest in improving manufacturing processes and increasing accuracy in design and production.

The discussion committee was headed by Prof. Dr. Qasim Ahmed Handal from the University of Tikrit, and the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Bassam Munib Ali, and Assistant Professor Mr. Riyad Jamil Wahab, under the supervision and membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Zahraa Ghazi Dhanoun.
