The Department of Management Information Systems at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed the master’s thesis tagged “Critical Success Factors and their Role in Improving Knowledge Performance: Testing the Modified Role of Knowledge Management Strategies: An Analytical Study of Universities in Nineveh Governorate”.

The current study presented by the student “Haneen Walid Behnam” in the Department of Management Information Systems aimed to: Study and test the modified role of the knowledge management strategy in the relationship between critical success factors and knowledge management performance in the higher education sector for universities affiliated to all Nineveh Governorate (governmental and private), and in order to achieve this goal, the study model was built based on what has been seen from previous studies, the dimensions of the critical success factors were summarized in (ICT infrastructure, leadership, Organizational culture, organizational structure, motivation, human resource management, knowledge measurement).

The study concluded to the most important conclusions: There is a correlation and a positive and moral impact between critical success factors and knowledge management performance, and the results of the study indicated that there is a modified role for knowledge management strategies in modifying the nature of the relationship between critical success factors and knowledge management performance, the study suggested the need to take care of critical success factors because of their distinctive and effective role in improving knowledge management performance, as well as the role of knowledge management strategies to improve and enhance performance.

The discussion committee was headed by Prof. Dr. Amer Abdel Razzaq Abdel Mohsen, and the membership of Prof. Dr. Ali Abdel Fattah Al-Shaher, and Assistant Professor Dr. Hatem Ali Abdullah from the University of Tikrit, and under the supervision and membership of the Dean of the college, Prof. Dr. Thaeir Ahmed Saadoon Al-Samman.
