College of Administration and Economics

The Faculty Council met in its eighth session under the chairmanship of the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Thaer Ahmed Saadoun Al-Samman, and in the presence of the respected assistants of the Dean for Scientific and Administrative Affairs and the respected heads of scientific departments, and the meeting dealt with the following topics:
1- The Dean of the Faculty directed the heads of scientific departments to commit to working hours for teaching and functional cadres according to the specified timings, as the working hours of the teacher in accordance with the University Service Law are limited to 6 hours per day and 30 hours per week, taking into account the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research related to the sustainability of the university environment.
2- The Dean of the Faculty directed the heads of scientific departments to focus on adopting academic accreditation standards in order to obtain the accreditation of the scientific departments in the college.
3- The Dean of the College directed the heads of scientific departments to follow up on students’ attendance for preliminary and postgraduate studies according to the specified study schedules, as well as to work on updating the curricula in accordance with contemporary global trends.

Finally, the Council dealt with what was stated in its agenda and took the necessary decisions and recommendations thereon.
