The Department of Accounting at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed the master’s thesis tagged “A proposed accounting system for Iraqi oil companies according to
International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) ”
Part of it was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Thaeir Ahmed Saadoon Al-Samman.
The current study presented by the student “Rifaat Hazem Hussein Al-Hamdani” in the Accounting Department aimed to: Provide a proposed integrated accounting system that complies with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs) for Iraqi oil companies, which is one of the most important economic sectors in Iraq as an important source that feeds more than 95% of the revenues of the Iraqi state.
The study concluded the most important conclusions: Developing a proposed accounting system that complies with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs) to be suitable for Iraqi oil companies, as the proposed accounting system was designed to meet the needs of Iraqi oil companies and ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs).
The discussion committee was headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Kobra Muhammad Taher Hammoudi, and the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Ashraf Hashem Fares from the University of Tikrit, and Assistant Professor Dr. Taha Ahmed Hassan, under the supervision and membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Muhammad Jameel.
