The Department of Economics at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed the master’s thesis tagged “The impact of government size on economic development in the Arab countries”

The current study presented by the student “Safa Faisal Saeed Ali” in the Department of Economics aims to: show the size of the government on economic development in the Arab countries, as it is interested in understanding the complex relationship between government intervention in the economy and its impact on the rate of economic growth and the level of prosperity in these countries.

The study concluded several conclusions, the most important of which are: that the size of the government positively affects economic development. The optimal size of government varied among Arab countries.

The discussion committee was headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Uday Salem Ali Fattah, and the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Anmar Ghaleb Kulaib Mutlak from the University of Tikrit, and Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Waheed Hassan, under the supervision and membership of Prof. Dr. Mufid Thanoun Younis.
