And the supervision of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, Prof. Dr. Thaeir Ahmed Saadoon Al-Samman

The Department of Economics – College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul held a scientific workshop entitled (Green Environment and Sustainable Development)
On Sunday, 10/3/2024 at 9 am in Discussion Hall 1 in the Deanship of the College building, which was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs and a number of faculty and students of the College …

The workshop opened with an opening speech by the Head of the Department of Economics, then the first session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Hashem Muhammad Al-Arkoub and Prof. Dr. Alaa Wajih as Rapporteur of the session
The themes of the scientific workshop included four research axes:
The first axis: implications of sustainable development….. Prof. Dr. Experienced Iyad Bashir Chalabi
The second axis / afforestation to reduce the risks of desertification and climate change … Prof. Jassim Khalaf Shalal .
The third axis / air pollution and economic development Hypothesis test curve … Assoc. Prof. Nizar Siddiq Elias and

Assoc. Prof. Alaa Wajih Mahdi
The fourth axis / the role of green growth in achieving sustainable development. Assoc. Prof. Ruqayya Khalaf Mohammed and Dr. Nada Suhail Sattam

The workshop aimed to highlight sustainable development as an urgent necessity in societies currently in an equal manner in the balance of development and environmental needs of present and future generations in order to achieve sustainable development, environmental protection should be an integral part of the development process, while green growth contributes to preserving natural resources and enhancing environmental sustainability in the long term, as green growth positively affects air and water quality, which improves public health.
