The scientific activities of the Department of Economics

Within the scientific activities of the Department of Economics, on Sunday, 17/3/2024, a seminar was delivered to the master’s student in the Department of Economics (Ahmed Ali Mahmoud) about his thesis tagged “”Estimating and analyzing the relationship between the exchange rate and capital flows under the monetary sterilization policy in selected developing countries for the period 1990-2021”

The current study targeted … Which was submitted by the student “Saif Abdul Razzaq Muhammad Yassin” in the Department of Accounting to: Provide an integrated theoretical framework for text and sentiment analysis and on the practical side aims to determine the impact of text and feelings analysis on the quality of integrated reporting by applying textual analysis techniques and sentiment analysis on a sample of companies. The study reached a set of conclusions, the most important of which are: Companies can improve the quality of their reports and provide a more accurate and comprehensive view of their performance through text analysis techniques, and then ensure that their reports are balanced and readable from many categories, regardless of their academic achievement.
