The Department of Industrial Management at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed the doctoral thesis tagged “The use of augmented reality technology for remote assembly and maintenance operations in improving marketing performance / a case study in the State Company for the Manufacture of Vehicles and Equipment – Babylon”.
Part of it was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Thaeir Ahmed Saadoon Al-Samman.
The current study which submitted by the student “Amir Jawad Kazim” in the Department of Industrial Management that the main challenges facing many researchers and businessmen are to be correct and stay informed about modern technological innovations, and to know how to use them, where they are used and by whom? These innovations have spawned new smart technologies that can provide opportunities to provide users with live and immersive digital experiences.
The study reached a set of conclusions, the most important of which are: The augmented reality technology and its application in the fields of remote assembly and maintenance has a direct impact on improving the company’s marketing performance, and the results of the non-parametric test showed that there are significant differences between the total time taken to complete work in all stations when using augmented reality glasses.
The discussion committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Maysar Ibrahim Al-Jubouri, and with the membership of Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdul Salam Yahya Al-Hamdani and Prof. Dr. Nagham Yousef Abdul Reda from the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdul Fattah Al-Shaher and Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Mahmoud Hamed, and the membership and supervision of Prof. Dr. Raad Adnan Raouf.
