The workshop opened by welcoming all attendees and then starting with the first session, which was chaired by Prof. Dr. Saja Fathi Mohamed and teacher Shaima Walid Abdel Hadi as rapporteur of the session
Two lectures were held, the first lecture entitled “Water Resources Management in Light of the Water Scarcity Suffered by Iraq and its Role in Enhancing Food Security”, which was delivered to the audience by Eng. Abdul Khaliq Kurdi Ismail – Senior Engineer.
Then followed by the second lecture by Mr. Eng. Khaled Idris Ismail – Director of the Eastern Island Irrigation Project entitled “The Role of the Eastern Island Irrigation Project in Supporting the Agricultural Sector in Nineveh”.
The workshop aimed to shed light on the file of water scarcity in Iraq and its negative impact on the living and agricultural reality of citizens in general and farmers in particular.
And that a large part of the responsibility of the individual towards society is the need to preserve and rationalize the use of water, and in conclusion certificates of appreciation were distributed to the lecturers.
