The Department of Banking and Financial Sciences at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed the master’s thesis tagged “Green Finance and its Impact on the Value of the Company: An Analytical Study of a Sample of Renewable Energy Companies in the Arab Gulf States”
Part of it was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Thaeir Ahmed Saadoon Al-Samman, and the Dean’s assistants for scientific and administrative affairs.
The current study submitted by the student “Zainab Ali Hussein Mohammed” in the Department of Banking and Financial Sciences aims to: Demonstrate the impact of green financing as an independent variable in increasing the value of the company as a dependent variable, as the focus was on the most important sources in the structure of green financing (green stocks, green bonds, green loans), and in order to achieve the goal of the study, its practical side was relied on a set of standard indicators for green finance, represented in (Green Equities / Total Financing, Green Loans / Total Financing, Green Bonds / Total Financing).
The study reached a set of conclusions, the most important of which were: the existence of an impact relationship for green finance indicators combined in the added economic value of the companies in the study sample, and there is a discrepancy in the impact of green financing sources on the added economic value of the companies of the study sample countries, as green stocks occupy the first place, then green loans, and finally green bonds in being the most important sources of financing, and funding sources significantly affect the added economic value of renewable energy companies, and the most influential indicator is green stocks.
The discussion committee was headed by Prof. Dr. Ali Ahmed Faris from the University of Karbala, and the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Namir Jassim and Assistant Professor Dr. Uday Salem Ali, under the supervision and membership of Prof. Dr. Rafia Ibrahim Al-Hamdani.
