A scientific workshop on the dangers of electronic extortion and ways to prevent it…
The Department of Management Information Systems, in cooperation with the Directorate of the National Security Agency / Nineveh Security Directorate, held a scientific workshop entitled “Electronic extortion and its dangers to society and ways to prevent it” on Wednesday, October 30, 2024.
Part of the workshop was attended by the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, Prof. Dr. Thaeir Ahmed Saadoon Al-Samman, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Alaa Al-Hamdani, and a number of professors, students, security, academic and social figures.
The workshop was presented by Colonel Ali Qassim al-Araji, Captain Ihsan al-Asadi, Captain Omar Anmar Ahmed, and Major Hassan Ahmed, who are affiliated with the National Security Agency. The workshop opened with a speech from the Brigadier General, and witnessed the distribution of certificates of thanks and appreciation by the Brigadier General to the participating officers. The workshop dealt with the topic of electronic extortion and extremism, with a focus on ways to prevent it and how to communicate confidentially with the security authorities.
