Within the framework of the continuous endeavor to improve and develop the academic environment and overcome the difficulties facing the march of students applying for doctoral studies, Prof. Dr. Thaeir Ahmed Saadoon Al-Samman, Dean of the Faculty, met with the specialized committee to consider the problems facing applicants for graduate studies, on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at the headquarters of the Deanship of the Faculty. The meeting dealt with several important points aimed at supporting scholarship students and providing appropriate conditions for their academic career.

Highlights of the meeting:

1. Discussing challenges and obstacles: Some of the challenges faced by doctoral applicants within the program of the Higher Committee for the Development of Education in Iraq were reviewed and discussed, and proposals were put forward that would contribute to overcoming these obstacles and providing the necessary support to applicants.

2. Law 20 of 2020: The meeting also addressed some problems related to Law 20 of 2020, where the committee discussed ways to find appropriate solutions to the challenges facing applicants under this law in order to ensure that the educational process runs smoothly and successfully.

The meeting ended with recommendations aimed at improving the graduate environment and facilitating applicants’ access to the academic goals they seek to achieve, while stressing the importance of continuous follow-up and intensifying efforts to develop higher education programs in line with Iraq’s future vision.
