The Department of Economics at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed the doctoral thesis tagged “The impact of institutional variables on investment for developing and developed countries with reference to Iraq”.

The current study targeted … Which was submitted by the student “Biran Anwar Muhammad Taher” in the Department of Economics to: Statement of the impact of institutional factors on domestic investment and analysis in the group of countries (developed and developing as well as Iraq) and based on data covering the period 2002-2021 and estimated the relationship between the variables of the study represented by governance indicators (freedom of opinion and accountability, and political stability).
The study reached a set of conclusions, the most important of which are: that institutional factors have an impact on improving the investment climate, and there are more than one institutional variable that affects the investment environment, such as the quality of governance, transparency, the rule of law, and political stability.
The discussion committee was headed by Prof. Dr. Mufid Dhanoun Younis, and with the membership of Prof. Dr. Hana Abdel Hussein Muhaimeed from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Assistant Professor Dr. Nizar Siddiq Elias, Assistant Professor Dr. Mustafa Fadel Hammadi, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Wahid Hassan, and the membership and supervision of the Assistant Professor.
