Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Thaeir Ahmed Saudoon Al-Samman, Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, and the follow-up of the Head of the Department of Business Administration, Prof. Dr. Alaa Haseeb Al-Jalili, the Department of Business Administration is organizing a scientific workshop entitled “Entrepreneurship: The World and Iraq between Opportunities and Challenges”.

The workshop was held on Wednesday, 4/12/2024, at eleven o’clock in the morning, at the College of Administration and Economics, Department of Business Administration in Hall No. (3221).
The workshop discussed the topic of “Entrepreneurship in the World and Iraq: Between Opportunities and Challenges”, highlighting the growing role of entrepreneurship in strengthening global and local economies, with a focus on the Iraqi reality.

The workshop addressed the opportunities available to entrepreneurs in Iraq, such as benefiting from the rich natural and human resources, and the importance of technology in business development and development.

The workshop aims to shed light on the reality of entrepreneurship in Iraq, and compare it with international experiences, with a focus on the opportunities and challenges facing entrepreneurs in light of contemporary economic and technological developments.

On the other hand, the workshop highlighted the challenges facing entrepreneurship in Iraq, including bureaucracy, poor infrastructure, and lack of financial support. The workshop sought to inspire attendees by reviewing successful experiences at the local and global levels, while emphasizing the importance of creative thinking and innovation in overcoming obstacles and achieving success.

The workshop concluded with a comprehensive call to intensify joint efforts between the public and private sectors, with the aim of enhancing the entrepreneurship environment and empowering entrepreneurs to be a key pillar in achieving sustainable economic development.
