Visit of the Supreme Committee for Institutional Accreditation to the College of Business and Economics on Sunday, December 8, 2024, the meeting of the Higher Committee for Institutional Accreditation was held at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul, where the College received the Standing Committee for Institutional Accreditation headed by the University. The meeting was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Thaeir Ahmed Saadoon Al-Samman, along with the Dean’s assistants for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, the Chairman of the Institutional Accreditation Committee at the Faculty, in addition to the heads and members of the eight concerned committees.
During the visit, the committee was briefed on the set of standards and points required within the requirements of national institutional accreditation for higher education institutions in Iraq. The evidence and axes collected by the concerned committees in the scientific departments, divisions and administrative units were reviewed, emphasizing the importance of teamwork to achieve integration in collecting evidence and documents that support the college’s achievement of national institutional accreditation.
The meeting also discussed the points that need to be completed quickly, and identified the tasks and future work plans necessary to complete the file and ensure that all the required conditions and criteria are met. This step comes within a series of continuous visits to the Permanent University Committee, in accordance with the directives of the Presidency of the University of Mosul, with the aim of strengthening the position of the university and the college among Iraqi and international universities, and ensuring the quality of education and training provided in the institution.
In conclusion, these efforts confirm the commitment of the College of Business and Economics to achieving the highest standards of academic quality, and striving to improve the teaching and learning environment to serve students and the academic community alike.
