The Department of Economics at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed the doctoral thesis tagged “Economic measurement of the impact of international financing indicators on the economic performance of some Arab countries for the period (2000-2022).”
Part of it was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Thaeir Ahmed Saadoon Al-Samman, and the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs.
The current study targeted … Which was submitted by the student “Nashwan Abdul Aziz Saeed Al-Nasiri” in the Department of Economics to: 1_ Identify the theoretical, philosophical and practical side of international finance indicators and their effectiveness at the global and international levels.
2_ Analysis of trends in the development of international financing indicators for Iraq and the selected Arab countries and for the duration of the research.
3- Identifying the international experiences of international finance and comparing them with Iraq and the selected Arab countries.
4_ Analysis of the results of the estimate of the impact of international financing indicators on the economic growth of Iraq and some Arab countries sample of the study for a period of more than twenty years.
The study reached a set of conclusions, the most important of which are: _
1- It was found that there are several motives for international financing, including finding outlets, searching for a greater return, low production costs, controlling markets and relative changes in interest rates, as well as getting rid of procedures and policies that impede the access of the required capital to the country.
2_ When estimating the relationship in the short term, the error correction coefficient (ECM) appeared with a negative signal and a significant significance, which indicates a balanced relationship in the short term between the study variables towards a long-term equilibrium relationship.
The discussion committee was headed by Prof. Dr. Hashim Muhammad Abdullah, and with the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Abbas Asfour Lafta from the University of Kufa, Assistant Professor Dr. Aws Fakhr Al-Din Ayoub, Assistant Professor Dr. Saadoun Hussein Farhan and Assistant Professor Dr. Ibrahim Abdullah Jassim from the University of Tikrit and the membership and supervision of Prof. Dr. Saad Mahmoud Khalil.
