A scientific visit to the House of Mosul Heritage …
Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, Prof. Dr. Thaeir Ahmed Saadoon Al-Samman, and under the supervision and follow-up of the Head of the Department of Management Information Systems,
The department organized a scientific visit to the Mosul Heritage House located on the right side of Mosul.
The visit was held on Wednesday, 11/12/2024, with the participation of a number of professors of the department and students of the third stage, in addition to the presence of a number of female teachers and employees, this visit came with the aim of introducing students and professors to the architectural and historical heritage of Mosul, and highlighting the rich cultural heritage of the city.
The visit included a look at the virtual museum, which is the first of its kind in Iraq. This museum allows visitors to take a unique experience to take a journey via virtual reality (VA) technology to the most important historical landmarks of the destroyed city of Mosul. The museum also showcases augmented reality (AR) and hologram technology, providing an interactive and innovative experience to revive Mosul’s heritage.
This visit was a fruitful opportunity for students and professors to learn about the history and heritage of Mosul, and to benefit from modern technology in documenting and preserving cultural monuments. This event is part of a series of scientific activities organized by the college to enhance cultural and historical awareness among students
