The Department of Economics at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed the Higher Diploma Research entitled “The Technical and Economic Feasibility Study of the Anbar Combined Cycle Power Plant Project”

Part of it was attended by the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Munir Salem Taha, and the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Thaeir Ahmed Saadoon Al-Samman.

The current study … submitted by the student “Auras Ali Dalian” in the Department of Economics aims to: shed light on the evaluation of the feasibility of building a combined cycle power plant and ensure the degree of success of this type of energy generation from an economic, financial and environmental perspective.

The study reached the most important conclusions: that the support of the private sector by the state and the provision of appropriate investment facilities and laws in this field contributes to the advancement of the electricity sector by providing sufficient facilities for it, such as administrative facilities in particular and tax facilities, in addition to facilitating the process of granting medium and long-term loans in order to encourage the investment process.

The discussion committee was headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Alaa Wagih Mahdi, and included the following members: Lecturer Ms. Doha Salem Ahmed, and the membership and supervision of Lecturer Dr. Muhannad Munir Bashir.
