The Department of Business Administration in the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed the doctoral thesis entitled “The contribution of work passion to sustainable career development Testing the mediating role of career intentions / A survey study of the opinions of a sample of lecturers at the University of Mosul”.
Part of it was attended by Mr. Assistant President of the University of Mosul for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Munir Salem Taha.
The study … submitted by the student “Dina Aziz Muhammad Al-Saji” in the Department of Business Administration aimed to: Test the relationships of association and influence between work passion as an independent variable with its sub-dimensions: (enjoyment of work, self-motivation, self-identity, feeling the importance of learning) and enhancing sustainable career development as a dependent variable with its dimensions: (forms of self-participation).
The study reached a number of conclusions, the most important of which were: the existence of an influence relationship through the emergence of the significance of the partial direct and partial indirect influence of the effect of work passion (independent variable) on the variable of sustainable career development (dependent variable), the first is a partial direct influence between them, and the second is a partial indirect influence through the variable of career intentions (mediating variable). Thus, career intentions play a partial mediating role in the relationship between work passion and sustainable career development.
The discussion committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Maan Wadallah Al-Maadidi and the membership of each of Professor Dr. Hussein Walid Hussein from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority, Professor Dr. Maysoun Abdullah Ahmed, Assistant Professor Dr. Raghad Muhammad Yahya, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Hussein Al-Jarjari, and the membership and supervision of the Dean of the College, Professor Thaeir Ahmed Saadoon Al-Samman.
