The Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Thaeir Ahmed Saadoon Al-Samman, attended the meeting of the National Initiative for the Development of the Capacities of State Employees, which was held on Monday, February 10, 2025, headed by Professor Dr. Haider Abdul Dhahd, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.

The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Lubna Khamis Mahdi, Director General of the Research and Development Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, along with a number of Directors General in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, including representatives of the Government Coordination Department, the Office of the Secretary-General, and the Department of Cabinet Affairs. A number of deans of Iraqi universities and deans of some of their colleges also participated in it.

During the meeting, the mechanisms of cooperation to implement the initiative and the prospects for developing its programs were discussed in order to achieve its goals in raising the efficiency of employees and enhancing their skills in various fields. In addition to discussing proposals and obstacles, the attendees stressed the importance of cooperation between universities and government institutions to ensure the success of the initiative and achieve maximum benefit from it.

At the end of the meeting, the participants appreciated the efforts made in this regard, stressing the need for continued joint work between the relevant authorities to ensure the implementation of the initiative in a manner that serves the aspirations of state institutions to develop their staff.
