College of Administration and Economics

Professor Thaeir Ahmed Saadoon Al-Samman, Dean of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul, participated in the central celebration held to mark the 58th anniversary of the founding of the University of Mosul. The celebration, which began at 6:00 PM today, April 13, 2025, was held amidst a joyful atmosphere and a wide public and official presence.

The celebration, held at the university campus, was attended by prominent figures from various government institutions and Nineveh Governorate, along with a wide range of students who lent the occasion a distinctive heritage character by wearing traditional costumes that reflect the region’s rich cultural diversity.

Founded in 1967, the University of Mosul is one of the most prominent academic institutions in Iraq and enjoys a distinguished academic standing at the national and regional levels.  Over the decades, the university has graduated an elite group of scholars, researchers, and specialists in various fields, and has played a prominent role in supporting the educational and scientific progress in the country, despite the challenges it has faced in recent years.

The participation of the Deanship of the College of Administration and Economics in this occasion affirms the college’s close connection to the university’s academic journey, seeks to enhance the spirit of belonging among faculty and students, and commemorates the history of this venerable institution.
