“Active Participation of the College of Administration and Economics in the Third Sustainable Development Festival at the University of Mosul”

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, the university organized the “Third Sustainable Development Festival” on Monday, April 21, 2025, as part of its efforts to consolidate the concepts of sustainability and enhance participation in achieving the global sustainable development goals.

The College of Administration and Economics had a distinguished presence at the festival by presenting unique projects, including the “Green College,” the “Sustainable Tourist House,” and the “End Child Labor” model, which addressed the goals (quality education, climate action, decent work, and economic growth).

These projects were presented by Dr. Amal Sarhan (member of the Liaison), Dr. Manal Abdul-Jabbar Al-Samak (member of the Executive Committee), and instructor Shaima Walid Abdul-Hadi, along with a select group of faculty members, staff, and students from the college.

In his speech, Professor Al-Ibrahimi emphasized the importance of enhancing student creativity and linking academics to sustainable development. He emphasized the University of Mosul’s endeavor to be a model for supporting sustainability and community engagement.
