Global Windows into Modern Accounting: An International Lecture on Finance and ESG Issues at the College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul

As part of the academic openness to global universities and the activation of the Visiting Professor Program, and in collaboration with the Scholarships and Cultural Relations Unit at the college, and under the patronage of Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Mohammed Jameel, Dean of the College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul, a distinguished scientific lecture was held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, in Hall No. 2, titled:
“Be Serious about Accounting, Finance and ESG: The Environmental, Social and Governance Issue”

The lecture was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Hussam Al-Din Riyadh, an academic of Moslawi origin holding Indonesian citizenship. He teaches at a university in Australia and currently works at Curtin University in Malaysia.
The lecture addressed the latest trends in the fields of accounting and finance, with a special focus on ESG issues—environmental, social, and governance—which represent a key aspect of contemporary financial practices.

The session was moderated by Assistant Professor Dr. Maher Ali Hussein Al-Shamam and was attended by the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, alongside a group of accounting department faculty members and postgraduate students.

This event reflects the college’s commitment to enhancing international scientific communication and keeping pace with developments that enrich academic progress in the fields of accounting and finance.
