Programmatic Accreditation at the Core of Attention: The College of Administration and Economics Mobilizes Efforts in Support of the University of Mosul’s Journey Toward Institutional Excellence Thursday, May 22, 2025

As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance its academic and administrative standing, the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul held an important meeting chaired by the Dean, Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Mohammed Jameel. The meeting was attended by members of the College Council, as well as heads of the Media and Government Communication Division, the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division, and the Information Technology Unit.

The meeting was held in alignment with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the university presidency, especially following the University of Mosul’s achievement of institutional accreditation and its continued efforts to attain programmatic accreditation.

Discussions centered around several strategic topics, most notably:

Updating the academic descriptions of course syllabi.

Encouraging faculty members to update their CVs and academic information on the official website.

Monitoring the work of Arabic and English website administrators to ensure the accuracy and currency of published data.

Enhancing operational mechanisms to meet the requirements and standards of programmatic accreditation.

During the meeting, the Dean emphasized the importance of improving institutional performance quality and ensuring integration between academic and administrative units in line with the University of Mosul’s vision of advancing toward leadership positions in various fields.

He also stressed the need for continuous updates, data accuracy, and comprehensive documentation of the college’s activities as part of the academic and administrative excellence framework adopted in higher education.
