As Part of the “Study in Iraq” Program… The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul Reaffirms Its Commitment to Supporting International Students and Fostering an Attractive Academic Environment

As part of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s efforts to promote academic and cultural exchange through the “Study in Iraq” program—aimed at attracting Arab and international students—Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Mohammed Jameel, Dean of the College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul, welcomed a number of international students admitted to the college under this distinguished program, on Monday, June 23, 2025.

During the meeting, the Dean reaffirmed the college’s commitment to providing a comprehensive academic environment, including suitable accommodation, academic care, and both financial and moral support—strengthening the University of Mosul’s position as a prominent academic destination at the regional and Arab levels.

As a gesture of the college’s dedication to overcoming potential challenges faced by these students, the Dean also offered direct financial support during the meeting. He was accompanied by Assistant Professor Dr. Haitham Hashem Al-Khaffaf, Director of the University’s Department of Student Housing.

The meeting included a warm welcome to students arriving from Yemen and Syria:

Rami Ahmed Abdulghani Al-Maqatari – PhD student, Department of Economics – Republic of Yemen

Marwan Khaled Omar Mohammed – First-year undergraduate student, Department of Marketing Management – Republic of Yemen

Adnan Anmar Adnan Khaddour – First-year undergraduate student, Department of Financial and Banking Sciences – Syrian Arab Republic

This initiative reflects the college’s vision in supporting international students, fostering values of diversity and openness, and promoting the university’s role as a bridge for academic and cultural exchange between nations.
