Human Rights in the University Work Environment: A Specialized Training Course to Promote Institutional Awareness at the College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul

The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul continues its efforts to strengthen a culture of human rights within its academic environment. As part of its ongoing awareness programs, the Continuing Education Unit at the college organized a specialized training course entitled:
“Human Rights: Fundamental Concepts and Contemporary Applications,”
under the supervision of Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Mohammed Jameel, Dean of the College,
with follow-up from the Human Rights Division at the University Presidency,
and in coordination with the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Division,
from Monday, June 23 to Wednesday, June 25, 2025, in Laboratory No. (1) at the College’s main building, starting at 10:30 a.m.
The course aimed to support a university environment based on human values and institutional justice, and it included three main themes:
1. The impact of the educational and pedagogical environment on promoting human rights.
2. Fundamental concepts in human rights.
3. Arabic language and human rights in administrative discourse: linguistic and practical foundations for a successful employee.
The lectures were delivered by:

The course witnessed active attendance and clear engagement from college staff, contributing to the consolidation of human rights concepts within academic and administrative contexts. This reflects the college’s commitment to a rights-based approach and to enhancing an institutional work environment aligned with humanitarian principles.
