Realistic Emergency Management at the College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul as Part of a Field Exercise in Cooperation with Civil Defense

As part of ongoing cooperation between the University of Mosul and the Nineveh Civil Defense Directorate, the College of Administration and Economics conducted a field exercise on evacuation and safety procedures on the morning of Wednesday, July 2, 2025. The exercise was organized by the Civil Defense Division / Administrative Affairs Department.

The event was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Rafal Hassan Hamed – Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Mohammed Jameel – Dean of the College, along with several members of the College Council, heads of departments and administrative units, faculty members, as well as civil defense officers from various colleges and administrative directors.

The exercise aimed to raise the level of preparedness and readiness to respond to emergency situations such as building fires or chemical incidents, and to train administrative and teaching staff on the proper use of emergency exits and safe, rapid evacuation of injured individuals.

These initiatives aim to strengthen the culture of occupational safety within the university environment and to enhance the prevention and rapid response system in line with institutional safety standards in higher education.
