Under the slogan “Your Card… Your Safety”, a workshop at the College of Administration and Economics, in partnership with the National Security Service, strengthens the academic community against electronic fraud

As part of its awareness-raising efforts in the field of digital security, and with direct support from the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmood Al-Ibrahimi, and close follow-up by the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, Prof. Dr. Sinan Zuheir Mohammed Jameel, the college organized an awareness workshop in cooperation with the National Security Service – Nineveh Security Directorate, entitled:
“Electronic Payment Cards and Ways to Protect Them from Financial Fraud,”
on Monday morning, July 7, 2025, in Discussion Hall No. (1) at the college’s main building.
The workshop addressed the most prominent types of electronic financial fraud and methods of stealing information linked to payment cards, focusing on self-protection measures and proper responses when facing digital threats. The lectures were delivered by a number of officers and personnel from the National Security Service, in the presence of the assistant deans for scientific and administrative affairs, as well as several faculty members, staff, and students.
The workshop concluded with an open discussion, during which questions from the attendees were answered, further enhancing awareness of the importance of combating fraud crimes amid the growing reliance on electronic transactions.
