The College of Administration and Economics Weaves the Threads of Sustainability Through Its Green Gardens at the University of Mosul

In a scene that reflects the harmony between knowledge and nature, the College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul continues to enhance its green spaces by nurturing gardens, planting along walkways, and creating shaded, comfortable areas surrounding the college buildings. These efforts contribute to improving air quality, reducing pollution, and promoting psychological well-being for students, staff, and visitors alike.
These initiatives come as part of the college’s practical commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 13 (Climate Action) and Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities). The initiative also contributes to strengthening data related to Indicator (S1) within the UI GreenMetric World University Ranking, which assesses universities based on environmental sustainability standards.
Under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Mohammed Jameel, the college continues its efforts to establish a green campus environment that embodies the concept of a smart and sustainable university, in alignment with the University of Mosul’s vision of achieving a balance between scientific progress and environmental preservation.
