With Green Steps… The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul Activates the Responsible Consumption Indicator in Support of Sustainable Development

As part of its ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility, the College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul highlights its continuous initiative to implement a solid waste sorting system within its buildings. This initiative is carried out under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Mohammed Jameel, and aims to promote the principle of responsible consumption and production (SDG 12) in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals.
Color-coded bins designated for general waste, paper, plastic, and glass have been distributed throughout the college, contributing to the reinforcement of a recycling culture and reducing the environmental footprint within the campus, in accordance with international standards for environmental quality and sustainable education.
These efforts are part of the college’s broader pursuit to implement various sustainability indicators, not only through its institutional environment but also through its academic studies and research programs. This initiative supports the requirements of Indicator S1 in the UI GreenMetric World University Ranking, reaffirming the college’s prominent position in promoting both environmental and financial sustainability.
