“An Unconventional Step… Dean of the College of Administration and Economics Sits in the Employee’s Seat to Support Students and Strengthen Strong Institutions – University of Mosul”

In an unprecedented field initiative that reflects a leadership style rooted in direct practice and a strong commitment to university governance, the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Sinan Zuheir Mohammed Jameel, began his official duties on the morning of Thursday, July 31, 2025, from the Morning Registration Unit, accompanied by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Salem Khalil Khalid.

This initiative was part of the principle of “performing tasks from the lowest administrative level,” where the Dean directly engaged with graduating students, visitors, and staff members, closely monitoring the process of completing daily transactions. He listened to comments and challenges with the aim of finding immediate solutions and facilitating procedures.

Throughout the official working hours, he closely supervised the administrative workflow, ensured the soundness of performance, and provided support and encouragement to staff members to strengthen team spirit and enhance the efficiency of services delivered.

This step comes as part of a comprehensive program to improve the administrative and academic environment, ensuring a supportive workspace that meets the real needs of both staff and students alike.

The initiative also embodies the college’s commitment to advancing the principles of Strong Institutions (Goal 16 of the Sustainable Development Goals) through transparency, participation, and reinforcing the trust of students and the academic community in the administrative and educational system at the University of Mosul.
