•• Developmental Launch of the Council of the College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul (28th Session): Towards a Global Academic Horizon and Enhancing Research Excellence ••

In a strategic step to strengthen academic and administrative performance, the Council of the College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul held its twenty-eighth regular session on Tuesday, 19 August 2025, chaired by Prof. Dr. Sinan Zahir Mohammed Jamil, Dean of the College, with the attendance of the Vice Deans for Scientific, Administrative, and Financial Affairs, as well as the Heads of Academic Departments.

During the session, several key topics were discussed aimed at enhancing the quality of education and scientific research, and establishing the college as a platform for creativity and excellence. The most prominent topics included:

1. Thorough preparation for the second-round examinations for undergraduate and postgraduate studies to ensure accurate results and smooth examination procedures.

2. Expanding the horizons of publication in international indexing databases, enabling the college’s research to gain international presence and enhance the university’s global ranking.

3. Addressing postgraduate issues and removing obstacles for students to enhance the advanced learning experience.

4. Increasing the number of courses taught in English for the academic year 2025-2026, aiming to prepare students for global competition and raise academic competence.

5. Monitoring program accreditation for academic departments, ensuring that programs comply with international and local standards of academic excellence.

This meeting reflects the college’s ambitious vision to achieve high-quality education and advance scientific research, consolidating its status as a leading educational institution and contributing to supporting Sustainable Development Goals and fostering academic innovation both locally and internationally.
