Immersive Technologies and Their Role in Creating a Qualitative Shift in the Quality of Higher Education” Department of Management Information Systems – College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul

The Department of Management Information Systems at the College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul, on Sunday, September 7, 2025, in Business Administration Hall No. (3211), held a master’s thesis defense titled: “The Role of Immersive Technologies in Enhancing the Quality of Higher Education: A Survey Study of a Sample of Faculty Members at the University of Mosul,”, submitted by the student Raghad Mouloud Dahash Mohammed Al-Tai.
The study aimed to measure the effectiveness and readiness of the faculty members at the University of Mosul to adopt immersive technologies such as:
Virtual Reality (VR)
Augmented Reality (AR)
Mixed Reality (MR)
as effective tools that contribute to enhancing the quality of educational outcomes in higher education institutions.
The findings revealed a strong conviction and clear positive attitude among faculty members toward the significant role these technologies play in creating a qualitative shift in education quality. They viewed them as capable of transforming education from the traditional lecture-based model into a rich interactive experience that fosters deep understanding, improves knowledge retention, and supports student creativity.
