PhD Dissertation Reveals: How Knowledge Capability and Soft Skills Enhance Proactive Behavior among Faculty Members of the University of Tikrit – Department of Business Administration / College of Administration and Economics / University of Mosul

The Department of Business Administration at the College of Administration and Economics / University of Mosul, discussed on Thursday, September 11, 2025, in Discussion Hall No. (2) a PhD dissertation of Tariq Aziz Kurdi Al-Jubouri ,entitled: “Knowledge Capability and Its Role in Enhancing Proactive Behavior: The Mediating Role of Soft Skills – An Analytical Study of the Opinions of a Sample of Faculty Members at the University of Tikrit.”
The study aimed to explore the role of knowledge capability in its dimensions (information technology, creative thinking, decision-making) in enhancing proactive behavior among faculty members, represented by its dimensions (voice behavior, responsibility-taking, problem prevention, and individual innovation), through the mediating role of soft skills, which included (communication, teamwork, entrepreneurship, professional values, and leadership).
The findings indicated that any increase in the level of knowledge capability among individuals contributes effectively to raising the level of proactive behavior. The results also showed that changes in the level of soft skills lead to a tangible change in proactive behavior. Furthermore, the study revealed that the development of knowledge capability has a direct and positive effect on soft skills, which in turn strengthens their mediating role in the relationship.
